Its strongest values included the $23 Echo Dot, $22 Fire TV Stick 4K, $50 Blink camera bundle and $85 2024 Kindle. Prices, stock, seller status and model availability must be rechecked before buying.

Best budget speaker: Echo Dot for $23

Best smart alarm clock: Echo Spot for $45
The Echo Spot was listed at $45, down $35. Its compact display and customizable clock face made it better suited to alarms and bedside information than to video-heavy smart-display use. The source also mentioned a bundle with an Amazon Basics smart bulb; confirm that the bulb is included before valuing the bundle.
Best smart display: Echo Show 8 for $80
The Echo Show 8 was listed at $80, down $70. It included an 8-inch display, a 13MP camera with auto-framing and a built-in Zigbee smart-home hub. Engadget identified it as its top smart-display choice, but that is an attributed editorial assessment rather than an independently verified comparison.

The 2024 Kindle Paperwhite was listed at $130, down $30. It added a higher-contrast display, warm light and advertised battery life of up to 12 weeks. The Paperwhite’s approximately 19 percent discount was less dramatic than discounts on several Echo, Blink and Fire TV products, but it may be the better purchase for readers who regularly read at night or want the more capable display.

Battery figures are “up to” claims and vary with reading time, lighting and wireless use. Confirm whether the selected configuration includes lock-screen advertising, whether an ad-free upgrade is available and whether the price applies to every color. E-books and audiobooks are separate purchases.

Best entry-level doorbell: Ring Video Doorbell (2024) for $60
The 2024 Ring Video Doorbell was listed at $60, down $40. The source described 1080p video, motion detection, privacy zones, a rechargeable battery and optional hardwiring. Buyers choosing hardwiring should check transformer compatibility and installation requirements rather than assuming any existing doorbell wiring will work.

Largest listed percentage discount: Blink bundle for $50
The Blink Outdoor 4 plus Blink Mini 2 bundle was listed at $50, down $90, or approximately 64 percent based on the figures in the source article. That was the largest percentage reduction mentioned in the roundup, despite the headline’s 56-percent wording. Those features require compatible equipment and content. A 4K stick does not make 1080p content 4K, and Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos requires a compatible television, receiver or soundbar and supported programming. Streaming-service subscriptions are separate from the hardware purchase.

Fire TV Stick 4K Max for $33
The 4K Max was listed at $33, down $27. It added Wi-Fi 6E, 16GB of storage and picture-in-picture functionality. It was the better choice for buyers with a compatible Wi-Fi 6E network, substantial app or game-storage needs, or a preference for faster hardware. If you have a basic Wi-Fi network and only stream occasionally, the cheaper 4K model may provide better value.

Was the discount genuinely good?
The listed percentages are calculated from the stated savings and implied regular prices, so rounding can differ from Amazon’s displayed percentage. A list price is not automatically the product’s normal recent selling price. Before treating a deal as exceptional, check:
- Whether the exact model and generation match the advertised product.
- Whether the reference price reflects a recent selling price rather than only a list price.
- Whether the deal applies only to a color, capacity, bundle or refurbished unit.
- Whether a coupon must be clipped or Prime membership is required.
- Whether the price remains available at checkout and the item is sold by Amazon or an authorized seller.
- How the price compares with the product’s previous Prime Day and holiday pricing.
