What e-pity does

Individuals and businesses can use e-pity to complete Polish PIT declarations from their answers and documents, then submit eligible forms electronically or print them. The program can also send prepared letters, applications and user documents electronically to Polish tax offices.

According to its maker, e-pity 2026 handles over 40 PIT declarations. Coverage includes self-employment, investment income and rental income, and users can bring in a prefilled Twój e-PIT for checking and submission.

Fees and plans

Unlimited completed forms are available on the Free plan when the user assigns 1.5% of tax to an eligible public-benefit organization. The e-pity plan likewise provides program access at no charge, with that allocation required for listed PIT forms.

If no 1.5% allocation is made, an activation code is charged at 3,69 zł including VAT for each declaration. A separate Activation code plan covers one declaration, although its price is not published.

There is no free trial. No state-filing fee is listed because e-pity has no state filing option.

Where it runs

e-pity is available on Android, iPhone, Windows, macOS, Linux and the web. Mobile access is listed as web and mobile.

Entered data stays on the user's device in the desktop and mobile editions. In the online version, form information resides in the browser's Local Storage. The optional Dysk e-pity service archives declarations and UPO documents and syncs them between devices; it can hold 150 forms and does not work on Windows XP.

Protection and rules, as published

e-pity's privacy policy says communication with e-file servers uses 128-bit SSL encryption. It also says users may optionally encrypt cloud data with a password known only to them.

The maker says personal data handled through the service and program is processed under the EU GDPR, known in Poland as RODO. Dysk e-pity uses Microsoft Azure servers and provides authorized access to archived declarations and UPO documents.

Strengths

Based on the user's answers and documents, the program picks a suitable PIT form and works out the tax. The maker reports support for over 40 PIT declarations.

Eligible returns can go to the Ministry of Finance's e-Deklaracje system, where users can follow status and manage the UPO receipt. Twój e-PIT importing, printing and electronic letters provide additional ways to complete the process.

Catches to check

Who should skip e-pity

It may not fit someone needing state filing, a non-Polish tax return, or a service with a published price for the one-declaration Activation code plan.

For people and businesses dealing with Polish PIT forms, e-pity offers desktop, mobile and browser access, form selection, tax calculations and electronic delivery through e-Deklaracje. Its free route depends on assigning 1.5% of tax to an eligible public-benefit organization; otherwise, the activation-code charge applies per declaration.

The product is a weaker match for state returns, unsupported PIT forms or users who need a clearly posted price for every plan. Optional cloud archiving adds cross-device access, but it brings a 150-form limit and excludes Windows XP.
