Robinhood problems do not automatically mean the whole platform is down. As of September 28, 2026, Robinhood’s former public status page has been retired, so there is no live all-systems confirmation there. Check Robinhood’s official support updates and independent outage reports, then test your connection and another access method. Do not submit an order again until you have checked order history and account activity.
Is Robinhood down for everyone right now?
“Robinhood isn’t working” can describe an app that will not open, a blank website, a failed login, missing balances or charts, delayed quotes, a rejected order, or a transfer or card problem. Those symptoms can come from a platform-wide incident, a partial product outage, your network, an outdated app, browser state, authentication, or an account restriction.
Robinhood’s former public status page says it has been retired and directs users to the official support account on X for outage, maintenance, and live-update information: status.robinhood.com. Its indexed history showed “All Systems Operational” and no listed incidents through August 1, 2026, but that historical page does not establish Robinhood’s live status on September 28, 2026.
Outdated Drivers Are Slowing You Down

- Read the latest update from Robinhood’s official support channels.
- Try both the app and website, preferably on a different network.
- Compare reports from an independent monitor such as StatusGator. User reports can reveal a trend, but StatusGator notes that some reports are not acknowledged by Robinhood, so they are not proof of a broad outage.
If the app and website both fail on several networks at the same time, a broader incident is more plausible. If only one product or one access method fails, troubleshoot that path before assuming an outage.

Two-minute triage before you touch an order
- Check whether other websites and apps work.
- Switch from Wi-Fi to cellular data, or to another reliable network.
- Try the Robinhood website if the app is failing, or the app if the website is failing.
- Look at order history, account activity, notifications, and email before tapping Buy, Sell, Submit, or Retry.
- Record the time, symbol or transaction type, quantity, price, and any error message.
A frozen confirmation screen does not prove that Robinhood failed to receive the request. Repeating it can create a duplicate order or transfer.
Fix a frozen or blank Robinhood app
Robinhood’s app guidance recommends this sequence in its troubleshooting article:
- Check Wi-Fi signal strength.
- Try cellular data or another dependable network.
- Update Robinhood in the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Force-close the app and reopen it.
- If the app is responsive and you can complete verification, log out and log back in.
- Restart the phone or computer.
- Close other apps running in the background.
Do not log out if you are already having trouble with two-factor authentication, have lost the trusted device, or suspect compromise. Reinstalling the app is a later option, not a first fix: it can remove local login state and trigger new-device verification.

Robinhood’s indexed technology requirements list iOS 16 or newer and Android 7 Nougat or newer. An older operating system can cause compatibility problems; confirm the current requirements in Robinhood’s requirements guide.
When the Robinhood website will not load
- Use an updated Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge browser; these are the browsers Robinhood lists as supported at its browser-support page.
- Open Robinhood by typing the address directly rather than following an email or social-media link.
- Try a private or incognito window.
- Temporarily disable ad blockers, script blockers, and privacy extensions.
- Clear Robinhood’s cached data and cookies if the page is stuck or stale. This may sign you out, so make sure you can access your verification method first.
- Try another supported browser, device, or network.
Robinhood specifically recommends clearing browser cache or trying another browser when web login fails; see its login guidance. VPNs, corporate networks, public Wi-Fi, DNS filters, and aggressive privacy tools can also interfere with loading, but changing a VPN is not a universal solution and adds another variable to a financial-account login.
Can’t log in or receive a verification code?
A login failure is often an authentication or security issue rather than an outage.
Rank #3
- Confirm you are using the email address associated with Robinhood.
- Check spam and junk folders for verification mail.
- Use the login page’s Help option if you forgot the password or email.
- Update the mobile app and try the cache or browser steps above.
If a new-device sign-in cannot use SMS or device approval, enter your email and password, select Need help? on the verification screen, and choose another method. Depending on the situation, Robinhood may offer device approval, an SMS one-time code, bank verification, a three-point selfie, or government-ID photos. Details are in Robinhood’s new-device instructions.
Passing the password check does not guarantee immediate access to every feature. Robinhood says some functions, including crypto withdrawals and debit-card linking, may remain unavailable from a new or untrusted device until additional verification is complete.
Symptom guide: outage, product issue, or account restriction?
| What you see | More likely explanation | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| App and website fail on multiple networks | Possible broad outage | Check official updates and independent reports; avoid repeat orders. |
| App fails but website works | App, device, cache, or version problem | Update, force-close, restart, and use the web. |
| Website fails but app works | Browser, extension, cache, or support issue | Use a supported browser, private window, and cleared cache. |
| Only login fails | Password, two-factor, new-device, or security issue | Use the official recovery flow. |
| Account opens but one product fails | Partial outage, eligibility, or product restriction | Check that product’s status and support instructions. |
| Transfer or card payment fails while app works | Funding, transfer, card, or account-specific issue | Check transaction status and contact support. |
| Unknown login or suspicious contact | Possible compromise or phishing | Stop responding and secure the account through official channels. |
Orders, transfers, crypto, and card payments that look stuck
Partial failures can affect investing, options or margin, crypto, Spending, Cash Card, Wallet, or Gold Card independently. Market-session timing, order type, account restrictions, and a service interruption can produce different results.

- Wait briefly for the interface to recover.
- Check order history, account activity, notifications, and email.
- Confirm whether the transaction executed, was rejected, or remains pending.
- Save the exact time, asset or transaction type, amount, price, and error text.
- Contact Robinhood through an official support route if the status is still unclear.
Never assume a failed screen means an order was never received. Do not blindly resubmit a trade, transfer, or payment.
Is your account locked or frozen?
A lock can result from a new-device check, failed identity verification, a suspicious-login investigation, a compliance review, product eligibility, or location policy. It is not by itself evidence that Robinhood is down.

Robinhood says access may be restricted when customers travel to certain sanctioned jurisdictions; that geography-specific policy should not be generalized to ordinary travel. Its support material says a frozen account can block deposits, withdrawals, and opening new positions while still allowing sales of existing assets or closing existing positions.

Start in the Robinhood app’s Help or Support area, or type the official contact page directly: robinhood.com/contact. Robinhood lists chat as available 24/7; callback eligibility varies, and its indexed information generally lists investing-feature phone support from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
Product-specific support may differ for Crypto, Spending, Cash Card, Wallet, and other services. Use the official contact page or in-app route rather than copying a phone number from a search result.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems- Do not call a number from a search ad, forum, social-media reply, or unsolicited message.
- Never share your password, two-factor code, secret recovery phrase, or remote access.
- Robinhood will not ask you to transfer money or crypto to “protect” your account.
- Do not install remote-control software at a supposed support agent’s request.

If you suspect account compromise
For an unknown login, unauthorized transaction, or suspicious message:
- Stop communicating with the caller or sender.
- Open Robinhood directly through the official app or website.
- Change your Robinhood password and the password for the associated email account.
- Review and remove unfamiliar devices: Account → Menu → Security and privacy → Devices, select the device, then choose Remove device. See Robinhood’s device-management instructions.
- Contact Robinhood Support immediately and report the activity.
- Freeze the account if appropriate.
Freezing blocks deposits, withdrawals, and new positions during the investigation, although existing holdings can still be sold or closed. Consider that consequence before using the freeze control.
