To make a personalized birthday song with AI, write a short lyric around real details about the person, generate a few musical versions, then listen closely and revise any names or lines the model mangles. Make The Lyric Easy To Sing
Keep the chorus short, with a phrase the recipient can recognize when it returns. Aim for lines of similar length and put the person’s name in a spot that does not require a complicated run of syllables. If the name has an unusual pronunciation, write a simple phonetic guide in your working notes; do not assume the generator will infer it correctly.

Fix The Details That Matter
Listen once for the overall feel, then listen again while following the lyric. Pay particular attention to the recipient’s name, the chorus, and any line with a distinctive memory. If pronunciation or wording is wrong, revise the lyric or prompt and generate another version. What To Know About Voice, Rights, And AI Authorship
A generated vocal is not automatically the recipient’s voice. Do not upload or imitate another person’s voice without their permission, and check Suno’s terms for voice and audio uploads. If you record your own voice, check the service terms for how uploaded audio may be handled. Avoid a prompt that asks for a recognizable living singer’s voice; describe broad musical qualities instead.
For U.S. copyright registration, the Copyright Office says a work generated entirely by AI is not copyrightable, and prompts alone do not make the user the author. In a mixed work, only human-authored parts may be protected. Applicants registering a work containing more than a minimal amount of AI-generated material must disclose it and describe the human contribution. See the U.S. Copyright Office’s AI report. These points concern U.S. copyright; check the relevant service terms and applicable rules for other uses or locations.
If You Want To Sing It Yourself
Generate an instrumental version in Suno if the workflow offers that choice, then record your own vocal separately using a recording tool you already have. Keep a copy of the final lyric so you can perform it naturally rather than trying to match an AI vocal line for line.
