For broad Cardano NFT discovery, start with Wayup by Anvil: it aggregates listings and says it continues to support JPG Store contracts. Tokhun, SpaceBudz, $handles.exchange, and Dropspot serve more specific creator, collection, handle, and launchpad needs—but their current features and fees should be checked before you transact. JPG Store itself is no longer an operating marketplace.
A Cardano NFT, or CNFT, is a non-fungible token issued on Cardano. A marketplace is generally an interface for finding NFTs and preparing transactions signed by your Cardano wallet; it may not hold the NFT for you. The five options below are different kinds of venues, not five equivalent general-purpose exchanges. Updated September 2026.
Five Cardano NFT marketplaces and tools at a glance
| Platform | Best fit | Type | Fees and status | Main caution |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wayup by Anvil | Broad discovery, buying and selling, including some legacy JPG Store listings | Marketplace and aggregator | Wayup advertises a 2% fee for its own trading; it says aggregated purchases do not add a Wayup fee. Current as of September 2026 based on its site. | Aggregated listings may still use another marketplace’s contract and fee structure. |
| Tokhun | Artists and creators interested in minting and selling | Creator-focused marketplace and minting service | Current activity, fees, wallet support, and liquidity were not independently confirmed; see the Built on Cardano directory. | Verify the live interface and commercial terms before relying on it. |
| SpaceBudz | SpaceBudz collectors | Collection-focused venue | Current trading functions and fees were not independently confirmed; its ecosystem presence is referenced in Wayup documentation. | Do not assume it is a broad marketplace or that listings are active. |
| $handles.exchange | ADA Handle buyers and sellers | Specialist naming-asset venue | Current availability, fees, and wallet support were not independently confirmed; it is listed in the CardanoCube directory. | Verify the exact handle asset and its policy ID; displayed names alone are not proof. |
| Dropspot | Creators launching collections and collectors exploring drops | Launchpad and marketplace | Current drops, fees, and wallet support were not independently confirmed; it is listed in the CardanoCube directory. | A launchpad listing does not establish creator authenticity or secondary-market liquidity. |
Wayup is the strongest broadly relevant option established by current first-party information. The other four are candidates for particular use cases, not verified rankings by trading volume or liquidity. A directory entry can help you find a platform, but it does not prove that buying, selling, wallet connection, or a particular contract works today.

1. Wayup by Anvil: broad discovery and aggregation
Wayup combines its own marketplace with listings aggregated from other venues. Its site says it continues JPG Store smart contracts and that aggregated purchases carry no additional Wayup fee; Wayup advertises a 2% fee for its own trading. Those are different transaction paths, so check the origin of a listing and the total shown before signing. Wayup’s site describes its offering, and the Cardano app directory includes it.

Wayup is the most practical first stop for general browsing and for checking whether an old JPG listing can still be accessed. Its documentation covers buying, listing, removing listings, updating prices, and offers. A listing visible through an aggregator may still depend on the originating marketplace’s contract, seller status, and fees; visibility is not proof that a purchase will succeed. See Wayup documentation, including its pages on buying and creating a listing.
2. Tokhun: creator and minting services
Tokhun is described by Cardano ecosystem directories as a service for minting, selling, trading, and exploring NFTs and fungible tokens, with customizable minting functionality. That makes it a more natural candidate for creators than a pure secondary-market aggregator. The directory listings are not confirmation of current trading activity, fee terms, supported wallets, or liquidity; check those details at Tokhun before creating a collection or buying an asset. Directory references: Built on Cardano and CardanoCube.
3. SpaceBudz: collection-specific focus
SpaceBudz is relevant to collectors looking for assets associated with the SpaceBudz collection, rather than shoppers seeking a single venue for all Cardano NFTs. Its current direct buying and selling functions, fees, and liquidity have not been independently confirmed here. Check the project site and do not treat a collection association or a marketplace listing as proof of a live, executable offer. Wayup’s documentation references SpaceBudz among Cardano marketplace listings: Anvil’s Wayup documentation.

4. $handles.exchange: ADA Handle trading
This is a specialist option for people trading ADA Handles and related Cardano naming assets, not a general art or collectibles marketplace. Ecosystem listings describe exchanging Cardano native tokens, including handles, for ADA in a transaction, but current operation, transaction mechanics, fees, and supported wallet connections should be confirmed at $handles.exchange. Check the exact asset’s policy ID and asset name on-chain; a recognizable displayed handle by itself does not establish authenticity. Directory reference: CardanoCube.
5. Dropspot: launches and new collections
Dropspot is positioned in ecosystem listings as a creator launchpad and a marketplace for collectors. That focus may suit someone looking for primary releases rather than a deep catalog of resales. Before connecting a wallet, check whether the site has live drops, what creator and verification rules apply, how fees work, and whether the collection has any secondary-market activity. A launchpad does not guarantee that a collection is authentic or liquid. See Dropspot and its CardanoCube directory listing.
How to choose a venue
- For general browsing or JPG Store contract continuity: Start with Wayup, then confirm where each listing originated and whether its transaction is currently executable.
- For minting or creator services: Investigate Tokhun, but confirm its current tools, wallet connections, and terms first.
- For a SpaceBudz asset: Check the collection-focused route rather than assuming a general marketplace is the only option.
- For an ADA Handle: Use a handle-focused venue only after checking the asset identity and transaction details.
- For new collection launches: Dropspot may be relevant, but assess the creator and collection independently.
Compare the actual transaction path, not just the site name. Before relying on any venue, establish that its marketplace interface loads, current inventory is visible, the wallet can connect and sign the relevant transaction, and the applicable fee and contract behavior are clear. Offers, auctions, collection offers, and royalty handling vary by platform and collection.

Understand the full cost before buying or selling
ADA is Cardano’s native token and is used for Cardano transactions and marketplace purchases. A buyer’s approximate outlay is the NFT price plus any marketplace fee, applicable creator or community royalty, and network transaction cost. A seller’s approximate proceeds are the sale price minus applicable marketplace fees, royalties or other deductions, and transaction costs. The interface and the specific listing determine the relevant amounts; do not assume a displayed asking price is the final total.
Recommended Free Tools
- Marketplace fee: A fee charged by the venue or transaction protocol. Wayup’s advertised 2% applies to its own trading, while an aggregated listing may follow the originating venue’s fee structure.
- Royalty: A collection’s royalty information may be represented through Cardano metadata, but implementation and enforcement are not uniform across every marketplace and transaction. CIP-27 proposes a standardized royalty-distribution mechanism; it is not proof that every venue implements royalties identically.
- Network cost and ADA requirements: The transaction also needs ADA for processing and may require enough ADA or suitable UTxOs for the transaction structure. Keep a buffer rather than transferring only the asking price.
JPG Store’s terms distinguish platform fees from creator earnings, royalties, network fees, and other transaction costs, illustrating why the marketplace fee alone does not describe the full cost. See JPG Store terms.
Buy a CNFT with a wallet you control
You need a Cardano-compatible wallet holding ADA and able to sign the transaction. The broad flow is to hold ADA, connect the wallet to a decentralized application, find the NFT, and purchase it; Lace describes this basic process in its Mainnet FAQ. Exact controls and transaction structure depend on the marketplace.

- Acquire ADA through a lawful source and transfer it to a Cardano-compatible wallet. Cardano’s ADA guidance explains wallet use and private-key security.
- Open the marketplace using its official domain or a trusted bookmark, then connect the wallet you intend to use.
- Find the collection using its name and, where available, the policy ID or asset ID. Do not rely on a collection name or image alone.
- Check the asset’s policy ID, asset name, transaction history, collection links, metadata, and any marketplace verification indicator. Where possible, confirm that the collection’s official site or social account links to the same asset or marketplace listing.
- Review the complete transaction: seller, NFT, price, venue or contract, fee, royalty if applicable, and network cost. Compare the transaction details in the wallet’s signing screen with what you intended to buy.
- Sign only if the wallet shows the expected transaction. Wait for confirmation, then verify that the NFT appears in your wallet and, if needed, in a Cardano explorer or marketplace portfolio.
A badge can help identify a collection, but it does not replace checking the policy ID and creator links. Be cautious of copied art, an unrelated policy ID, suspiciously low prices, thinly traded collections, and stale listings. A floor price is only the lowest displayed ask, not a reliable measure of fair value; one anomalous listing or artificial activity can distort it.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.List a CNFT and check the net proceeds
- Confirm the NFT is in the wallet you will connect and that you can sign transactions with it.
- Check whether the NFT is still locked in a previous marketplace contract. If it is, determine whether that contract can be canceled or used through a supported interface before trying to list elsewhere.
- Connect to the chosen marketplace, select the NFT, and enter an asking price in ADA.
- Review the platform fee, applicable royalty, estimated network cost, and the resulting approximate proceeds. Do not treat the ask as guaranteed income: a listing does not ensure a sale.
- Review and sign the listing transaction, then confirm the listing appears. Keep ADA available for later price changes, cancellation, or other transactions.
- After a sale, verify the ADA receipt and NFT transfer in your wallet or through an on-chain record.
Wayup’s listing documentation specifies a Cardano wallet containing the NFT and sufficient UTxOs as requirements for creating a listing: create-listing documentation. Button labels and transaction steps are not universal across marketplaces.

JPG Store and its Comet platform have been sunset. Its official site says the shutdown is complete while its smart contracts remain live for interaction through other marketplaces or Cardano CLI. That does not mean every old listing can be bought or migrated automatically. Wayup may provide access to listings that depend on JPG contracts, but compatibility depends on the listing, contract, wallet, and current transaction support. See the JPG Store notice.

CNFT.io should not be treated as an active marketplace on the strength of older directory listings. Community discussion has described it as offline or deprecated, but that is not a current first-party status confirmation; do not send assets or sign transactions through an unverified interface. Older listings in an ecosystem directory do not prove a venue is operational. See the Cardano community discussion and the Built on Cardano directory.
If an old NFT or listing is not visible
- Do not assume the NFT has disappeared. Check the wallet’s transaction history and UTxOs.
- Use a current interface that explicitly supports the relevant contract, such as Wayup where applicable, and verify the listing can actually execute.
- If needed, Cardano CLI may offer an advanced route for interacting with a legacy contract. It is not a beginner recovery method; seek reputable technical help and inspect every transaction.
- Never send an NFT to an unknown recovery address or give anyone your seed phrase or private key.
If a listing appears but the purchase fails
The listing may be stale, already sold or canceled, tied to an unsupported legacy contract, or inaccessible because the wallet lacks sufficient ADA or usable UTxOs. A wallet connector may also be incompatible, or the collection may use a nonstandard transaction or royalty design. Refresh and recheck the asset’s on-chain location and listing origin, try a supported wallet or browser session if appropriate, and do not repeatedly sign unclear or failed transactions. Contact support only through a verified official channel.
Wallet and transaction safety
- Never share a seed phrase or private key with a marketplace, support account, or recovery service.
- Do not sign a transaction you cannot explain. Check the wallet’s transaction summary for the asset, recipient, ADA amounts, and requested actions.
- Use official domains and bookmarks; cloned sites and fake support accounts can imitate real marketplace branding.
- Consider a separate trading wallet for interactions with unfamiliar applications, and keep only the funds needed for the intended activity there.
- Check hardware-wallet compatibility with the specific marketplace and connector. Support cannot be assumed across platforms.
Marketplace interfaces generally facilitate transactions rather than taking custody of the asset. JPG Store’s terms, for example, describe a peer-to-peer service that does not custody or control users’ NFTs or blockchains and requires a third-party wallet: JPG Store terms. Non-custodial does not mean risk-free: contract behavior, wallet signing, counterfeit assets, and mistaken transactions still matter.
